The Reality

Let’s now discuss these individual claims and put the blue diamond cookware to the test.

How long do these pans last?

The blue diamond cookware promises a long-lasting use without compromise in the quality of cooking. Typical ceramic non-stick pans last about a year, so according to the claim, this cookware should last 10 years.

As far-fetched as that sounds, this product has not been available in the market for 10 years for anyone to approve or deny that claim. But based on several reviews, this claim of theirs is rejected as consumers complain of loss in the quality of cooking in under a year.

Does it heat up faster than the rest?

As this cookware is said to be infused with diamonds, it is claimed that the heating is 4x faster owing to the higher conductance of carbon over copper. Though, the claim is correct in theory, but since the core of the cookware is made of aluminum and there is only a thin film of diamond-infused layer, it hardly makes much of a difference. It does heat up a bit fast but does not heat 4x faster.

Toughness and scratch resistance

The blue diamond cookware advertises it as being 5 times more tough and scratch-resistant even to metal utensils, although in its user guide it is more advisable to use wooden or nylon utensils with it.

According to reviews some people are satisfied with the claim but most are disappointed as their pans are now scratched after constant use with metal utensils.

Is it really warp-resistant?

With constant exposure to change in temperature, like suddenly cooling a hot pan under running water, pans tend to squeeze or expand due to different reactions of different metals to heat and cold exposure, called warping.

The blue diamond cookware is supposed to resist warping. According to customer reviews on Amazon, this pan does resist warping to a good extent.

Verdict of the legendary fried-egg-sliding-off trick

In the infomercial, it is shown that nothing sticks on the pan, fried eggs slide off of the surface of the pan without any use of oil or lubricant. They even put some melted plastic on top to demonstrate the super non-stick nature of their product.

This trick is in fact very true and fascinating, but unfortunately only lasts for a couple of months before the food starts sticking to the pan and is very difficult to wash off, requiring scrubbing.

Does it provide even heating?

The blue diamond cookware pans do, like most good pans provide even heating, the carbon and aluminium technology lets the pan heat evenly giving your food uniform heat, cooking it nicely.

Does it actually have real diamonds?

These pans by the blue diamond cookware claim to be infused with tiny diamonds. When asked by the customer service and company, they say that the diamonds are not actually natural or gem-grade, but are made synthetically, like diamond dust. Which in reality are not very high quality.

As for the non-toxic nature of the production material, that is true to the claim as it does not contain any PTFE or harmful materials.

Temperature resistance

The cookware by blue diamond is resistant to very high temperatures like 800 degrees Fahrenheit and does not change shape or burn if subjected to very high temperatures.
